New Zealand is home to more than 200 ethnic groups. Some Ethnic Communities may experience foreign interference. This can include unwanted pressure or contact from foreign states or people acting on their behalf.
This Hub is a place where Ethnic Communities can find information about foreign interference in New Zealand. The Hub includes resources to help you: Learn about what foreign interference is and how to recognise it, take steps to safeguard yourself and your communities, and know how to respond if you think you are experiencing foreign interference. Some resources are available in a number of languages.
Everyone in New Zealand has the right to feel safe, be treated with respect and be able to share their opinions and beliefs freely.
You can report foreign interference to the New Zealand Police and the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS). Information about how to report is available on this Community Hub.
Ethnic Communities do not have to face foreign interference alone. Together, we can protect what makes New Zealand strong.
